The Benefits of Renting

There are plenty of benefits when it comes to daily jet ski rentals. Whether you ride occasionally or enjoy riding a great deal, a jet ski rental can save you the time and hassle of towing your own jet ski around. Plus, if you enjoy water sports in general,

you won’t have too much trouble finding a facility that provides jet ski rentals to the public.

Solo Crafts and Sport Crafts
Of course there are some decisions you must make before your secure a “ski” from any of the places that offer boat and jet ski rentals. If you’re a newbie, it’d probably be better to select a sport craft versus a solo craft. The sport craft is a sitting jet ski while the solo craft is a standing jet ski or personal watercraft (PWC). If you’re a beginner, then you’ll probably have an easier time driving a sport craft as it provides the rider with a more balanced ride. However, once you get used to racing over the waves, you’ll be able to transition easily to the solo craft if you so choose.

The Advantages of Renting a Sport Craft
With a sport craft, whether you have a model that provides for two riders or four, it will typically go a little slower than a solo craft will. Still, if  you’re part of a group of jet skiers, it’s more advantageous with regards to the cost of jet ski rentals to rent one or two sport craft jet skis versus a whole fleet of solo crafts if you’re securing jet skis for a fairly sizeable number of people.

Jet Ski Requirements
Keep in mind that most states require that jet ski participants be at least 16 years of age to operate a jet ski. A personal flotation device (PFD) or life jacket is always required when riding any kind of watercraft.

Daily Jet Ski RentalsTraining
The place that provides jet ski and Sea Doo rentals should offer training with regards to operation of the jet ski rental as well as providing an overview of rules and regulations with respect to safety.

Cautionary Measures
Before driving any jet ski, be sure to check the weather. It’s also important to know where possible dangers in the water may be located, such as sandbars and similar obstacles. Also, let the people know at the rental place where you’re planning to travel and what time you’ll be returning.

Watch your Speed
Follow the posted speeds in the water to avoid injury to aquatic animals as well as to yourself and others. Wearing the appropriate clothing is recommended such as a wet suit and goggles as well as the mandatory life jacket.

Preparation is Key
Make sure you understand and follow the rules as well as know how to fully operate your personal watercraft (PWC). Be prepared before you get on any PWC or jet ski and you’ll enjoy the time you spend even more on the lake or at sea.
